Let's talk triples

So I'm having this idea for a modded triple in the edge chassis I will be aquiring in the next couple days, and my question is what would be a good platform to start with? There are XLT and ultrasaurus engines a-plenty around here but I'm thinking more along the lines of an 800xcr powerplant, or possibly one of the 'doo triples.....what say you? Abandon the idea and stay with the 800 VES I've got? Or go for a triple?

1200 Watercraft is the only triple I'd bother putting in a sled anymore. Even the mighty 800XCR motor unless it's big bore'd doesn't have enough power to make enough advantage over an 800 twin to justify the headache involved IMO

That's just the kind of info I'm looking for, I'm looking for something that would be 200+HP relatively easy.....and I hear the WC triples are NASTY

what would that engine cost????

I am thinking 670 with a turbo??? What HP would that put out?

I can see a turbo 670 being about 160-170hp on a premium/race fuel mix

I rode a guys sled once that was a polaris chassis with a doo 800 triple, can't remember the chassis but it was post wedge and pre edge. It was insane, doubt it was 200hp but man it was a fun sled.

If it were me and I had the money I'd build a WC triple..

What "watercraft" will I be looking for to find this 1200 engine?

I have been thinking about a larger motor swap for my edge assault build. Either that or turbo the current 700. I gat a line on an older 1200 triple built off a wildcat bottom end. The only thing that makes me wonder is they guy who told me about it thought that putting a turbo on my 700 might be more reliable.

Thanks for the link bubba, so from what I gather its not an engine you just find....it has to be built from available parts, that's more my style sounds like one hell of an engine
