The Class will be at Fox Shawmut Hills in Grand Rapids, MI. on Dec 3rd from 3:00 - 7:30.
The cost is $49.00 per person to attend the class.
You must Pre-register to attend this class.
Fox Shawmut Hills will be having a Sale also on that day. it runs from 9am-3pm.

Four Hour Avalanche Class specifically for snowmobilers
Classes are effective, proven to save lives and affordable.
Four hour avalanche awareness, avoidance and rescue class.
Learn: How to avoid the most common mistakes, what equipment works best, how to rescue effectively, evaluate terrain, avoid terrain traps, analyze stability and increase your skills in the mountains.
Cost: $49 per person.

Level I & II Avalanche instructor Colorado Mountain College, rescue/avalanche team leader/avalanche mission coordinator Vail Mountain Rescue Group, instructor Walter Kirch Avalanche Seminars, graduate of National Avalanche School, National Academy of Winter Guiding. Mountain Snowmobiler for 20 years. Member American Avalanche Association.

What to do if lost or injured.
Stability tests.
Scenarios.


What to bring: Notebook and pen. Bring your beacon if you have one and I can answer questions on it. If you don’t have a beacon, wait until after class to buy one. You’ll get a discount and have a better idea of what beacon is best for you. Please feel free to ask questions at any time during the class.


We had 38 people attend the last class on a Blizzard Sunday. This class will not be canceled because of weather. So get your reservations in ASAP.

Ron, we were at the compressed class last year, wanted to take it this year again for a refresher and get what we missed on the shortened version.

i wanted to get some clarification...

you have the class starting at 3pm, and mikes website avalanche1 dot com has it starting at 6pm.

just trying to make plans for some new people that may or may not need to take time off from work on a saturday to attend.

and the info two topics down is last years info. for this class.
