I will back date this thread with this link: Pro-X Fix It Thread
but I thought I would give the "cliff notes" of the transformations my sled has gone through over the years for those who don't like reading the whole book and were never good studiers. Takes out all the motor stuff over the years. The edge chassis is dying in popularity now that it is 2 generations old.... but I am keeping it alive!!! There's the start: 2002 Pro-X Factory Mod 440 Race Sled that was a back-up sled for a race team for 3 years. As purchased in 06:

I then trail converted it and decided to sticker it up 07-08 season:

Ran that for a season and got sick of all the stickers: (08-09 season) This is also the point where we bought a house and I got a shop so I can quit working on it in underground parking garages in my apartments and filling them with 2 stroke cold smoke

Now that I had a shop to build in.... and I started hanging around with bad influences like Rob and Jeff..... They convinced me that it wasn't big enough.
(09-10 season) Motor grew up from 440 to a 700 Non-Ves 144 skid with Ice Age Rails & HRP big wheel kit 2" Camoplast Challenger track Custom tunnel extension built by Hein Speed Spec. Black tank Black non race "dash panel" (The race one was flat and this is a nicer looking edge piece that fits the tank better) ![]() ![]()

And it is again this year (11-12 season) going through a transformation.... (Sick of the all flat black look, trying something different)
Heres how it is sitting in the shop right now: ![]() And here's the pile of parts that are ready to go back on... freshly powder coated thanks to High Plains Powder Coating.

I have to say, I absolutely love this sled. Would be a sad day to see it go/get replaced.
Hope I'm inspiring some.... "Don't ditch'em. Rebuild'em." More pics of this years changes to come!! Last edited by Bump; 11-11-2011 at 10:31 AM. |

Sick build up dude. Those pro-x's sure took a beating and handled well. Once you upgrade you won't want to go back though...
