I'm watching this program on KWSU, it's about immigrants. Amazed to find out nearly 600 immigrants come through Chicago EVERY DAY! Showed this one family signing up for assistance, food (414.00 mo) free bus passes, low income housing, first time they had seen a foam mattress....so now I'm curious on WHO in America funds the flight? Said they owed 3k but it didn't say to who? That's just wacked!

We take in a huge number of people that "don't have anywhere to go". So, if there's a war, and 200,000 people run for the boarder, they set up a refugee camp. They live in the refugee camp for 5 to 30 years, and then someone says, all of us "enlightened" countries have to split these people up, and take a share. Well, we have a low population, and lots of room, so we get stuck with most of them.

They see it as stopping wars. We take these people in, they don't start a war.

Some fit in, some never do fit in. Some just come here and vote democrat, and sit on the government tit. Some start stores or join gangs, or work for someone from their country.

Somehow it's our problem.

That's what some people like me, mean by population explosion. It's not our country that has a population problem. It's most every other country. But, as they overpopulate, they will put pressure on us to take more in.

If they had their population under control, we wouldn't be guilt tripped into taking in so many people. Look on the bright side, when they take over the USA, they won't feel obligated to take in any more. It's a Euro American disease.

we as a country take in over 1.1 million legal immigrants a year.
A little over 1 million more come in illegal.

back in (I think it was 93) they made a subtle yet profound change in the immigration policy.
It used to be that in order to get a visa to the U.S. you had to have a skill that couldn't be found here. If you had those skills you could come here and bring your immidiate family with you. Wife, son, daughter type of thing.
However, the change they made took that little thing away.
Now, immigration is based on family ties or skill. that is to say, if you get a visa to come to this country, you not only get to bring your immidiate family, you get to bring your entire extended family also.
Now if you bring your mom/dad and grandparents over, they are instantly eligible for SS, Medicaid and Medicare. Cute huh. If you are a U.S. citizen you have to pay in 40 quarters to get it, if you a imigrant legal or illegal, you get it the instant you set foot on U.S. soil.

Gee, I wonder why all our social programs are going broke.
