So this woman trooper is chasing a Miami cop (both marked vehicles) who is apparently driving recklessly. She's told twice to back off and she doesn't. He finally pulls over and she pulls a gun on him (he's in uniform) and points it at his head for a misdemeanor traffic violation. She cuffs him.
On her side, apparently he was weaving in and out of traffic at speeds of over 120 mph and she thought the police car was stolen. Apparently it happened at 6:30 a.m. and he says he was was on his way to an event at a school. Now there's a big war between agencies. Miami cops say she did it only because he was a Miami cop. http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/11/0...s-driving.html

I think the Miami officer should be given unpaid leave for 6 months for using his emergency lights and going that fast without justification....if that is the real story....but if he was in pursuit or trying to get to an emergency he wouldn't have pulled over to get out of her way.
She is full of chit that she thought the car was stolen...that would have been all over the radio. She had a point to prove. She should have filed a complaint. It was inexcusable to pull her weapon on him...especially when she saw he was in uniform. She needs 6 months unpaid leave as well. If they both have lots of disciplinary problems...I would chit can them. If not, I think they deserve another chance....but they can think about it why they work at McDonalds for 6 months.

Well it appears the Miami cop was out of his jurisdiction and so yes he should be charged for wreckless and possibly felony eluding if that is the case. I would understand why the female highway patrol woman might think it was stolen going that fast out of it's jurisdiction. So I am leaning toward siding with her. However, once she saw him in uniform her weapon should have stayed holstered and superiors from both agencies should have been called to the scene to sort it out.
