Default My new passion-Aerobatics!

I went for some spin training and got hooked. Anyone need another snowmobile? The Kid needs Avgas money. 900 pounds of carbon fiber, 300 horsepower, 10g capable positive or negative, 700 degrees per second roll rate. I was seeing in black and white for about half of my stunts around 6 g's.

Holly ricer.

Two full rotations in a second? At 6 G's you'll wake up plowing corn some day. Watch yourself. 900lb/300HP, that should straighten out your back alignment.

Two types of flying I love most aerobatic & off field work. Both demand being good at it. Hammer heads in an open cockpit are awesome.

Good point. Haven't experienced the open cockpit. At least you don't bang your head on the canopy doing rolls I guess.

I'm trying to book a ride in a new Extra 330 in Vegas in a couple of weeks while I'm there. Sky Combat Ace Adventures. Looks like a lot of fun.

I did the open cockpit in a Stearman a year ago while in Oahu. Also did some time in a glider that day. Next time I go back to Oahu I'm going to get the add on glider rating.

Part of me wishes I had an aerobatic plane. I guess I'll have to settle for my bush plane for now.

Nice wagon. How do you withstand the peer pressure to put 33's on it? The Extras are fun but what a handful on the ground, no flaps, visibility, load, or range. I checked out Skycombatace.com, looks fun. I go to Driggs ID. since it's close to home but the performance has to be scaled back at our manuevering altitudes. PM me if you get to Idaho, I'll take you to some of our backcountry strips, it's not Alaska but it's the best in the lower 48..
