Looking to make the best of what I have this year. Going off recommendations from others, so far I have let the limiter straps all the way out and moved the front track shock to the lower mounting point. Most guys say to soften up the front shock as much as possible, but I think I'll leave it where it is until I get a chance to ride and see how it works, being laid down like it is now should make a huge difference. Someone on the other site also mentioned leaving the limiters in the middle and moving the upper and lower rear scissor arm mounts forward to keep it from being a wheelie monster... thoughts? Should I just go ahead and soften the front track shock now or run it for a bit and see how it does first?

If you move the rear suspension scissor mount forward, it will transfer more(wheelie). You are on the right track, with your front track shock. Try not to do too many changes at once. I have moved the rear arm forward 1" to help with transfer on some sleds.

ok, the rear torsion springs in the sled were kind of weak if you weigh more than 160lbs.
Check the sag and see if you need to replace them. the rear set-up with the strap and such should be fine. What have you done for gearing? As for the front, ride it like it is and see what you think. The settings on the front shocks is a VERY subjective thing. Does it still have the swaybar in?

Ollie, in my OP when I say front shock, I mean front track shock, or center shock... or whatever else it is called
![]() Sag seems fine with the torsion springs in the middle. PO was a bigger dude so maybe he swapped them? Gearing I don't recall... either 19/43 or 20/43 me thinks. Front suspension is untouched, swaybar still in.

ah, my bad.
lol Ride it a couple times and see what you think. I did the softer front skid shock and stiffened it right back up because it was bottoming out when I jumped or hit moguls on the trails going to and from the truck.

10-4. I'm hoping it doesn't completely suck ass on the trail with the limiters let out, but easy enough to change back.

you will want to watch corners on the trail.
You will notice that if you hit the gas going into a tight corner it's going to want to push. Reason being it will take a lot of ski pressure off. I run with less ski pressure on the trail inexchange for better off trail manners. You get some funny looks from guys that like to race the trails, but that's ok. A lot of suspension set up is personal preference. You may find it does exactly what you have been told, of cource you may find you can't stand it also.
