Hey Guys, I made a CF hood for my sled and put the moulding process into a video - check it out if you like - saved over 11 pounds when compared to the old hood. Hopefully it can help someone out.

Have you thought about trying the vacuum bag approach? You'd have to reinforce the crap out of your mold. Maybe build a box to set the mold in, and fill it with sand/epoxy. But, it should fix the air bubble issue. And, you could lay the fabric either wet, or dry. You could also round over those edges, so the fabric could get in there better. ![]() I didn't catch it, where did you get the fabric from? |

The hood looked bad and I can't stand it - so I sanded for 6 hours and have it prepped for a new coat of epoxy tomorrow - 99 percent air bubble free now so it should turn out much better.

two coats of epoxy and it looks pretty good, will sand smooth and put one more coat on - sand and then wax.

Done the hood and windshield, it's shiny and gets lots of reflection. Total weight all in is 4 pounds on the table.
