The "Holy Grail" of vintage sleds?
I find myself slowly morphing in to a vintage toy guy. Mostly because new sleds/toys are getting so advanced and pricey that I can't even keep up with them anymore!
 My question is, what are some of your guy's opinions of the "Holy Grail" of vintage sleds?

I don't think of any of them to be the holy grail. one of the rarest one's that I know about is a 1973 yamamha GS300. I have opnly ever seen two of them and nether on is around anymore.
Holy Grail for racing sled woul probly be 1979 yamaha SRX 440. they where the king of thier day. Have to watch people are going to think I like Yammy's aftetr this post.

When I get a sec, I am going to look up all the above suggestions and put pics in here. Would be nice to know what some of these look like should you happen across one at a garage sale or auction that no one knows what they are!
There was a kid on another forum that bought an old non running jetski for $200 at a garage sale. He had never seen one like it before and it turned out to be a super rare hand built race ski from the mid 80's! Cleaned up and running worth a few grand.

^^^^^ LOL, Keep a eye on the Thunder Cats & the V-Max 4's you can score them for cheap, they are still fun to pull the trigger on & can stomp most of the newer crap plus Im seeing a cult following developing for the two!!!
I was in the Polaris dealer saturday & about chit myself @ the pricing on the new chit, $12k for a sled makes about as much sense as $60k for a pickup truck!!
