Default Any one tried the HMK

Anyone tried HMK's action pants??
How are they for waterproof?
Durability,
Warmth,
mobility?

I have the Klim's now, but after 5 years they are starting to show their age and need to be replaced. I am looking at all options.

Don't have the pants but recently bought one of their light coats because my local dealer qiut Klim. This thing rocks, totally waterproof, I am highly impressed. I wore it a couple weeks ago (when we had snow) during a really wet heavy snow day and it is the only thing that kept me dry. Even my Klim bibs soaked through.

I would totally drop the $$$$ on their stuff next time I'm in the market.

If they would have fit.. I would have loved them.. They were very strong, warm, and dry.. but hmk doesnt make a tall in my size.. and they just didnt fit right.. so for me the manueverability (sp?) wasnt there.... other than that I think they were a good product

Make sure to pm snowday here on the forum for a price if you decide to go this route.. thats where i've bought all of my hmk gear.. best prices out there

Default hope this helps...

I picked up a pair towards the end of last march. My thoughts are below in blue. This year I plan to get a new coat and it will be an HMK just need to decide which one.

Durability, So far so good, slipped and caught the sharp outer edge of my boards, left a mark but did not cut through or appear to compromise the garemnt.
Warmth; Good, I have not rode with the removeable liner in but I'm sure it will come in handy on cold below zero days.
mobility: Nice athletic fit, not loose and sloppy

The only thing I don't like is the lack of venting in the legs. I wish they would have put a two way zipper in the legs.

I have a ton of HMK gear...Stealth Pants and Coat, Action Pants and Coat, Voyager Coat, Predator Pullover, and etc.....

I have never been wet in any of it. Riding in Washington State can be a little wet at times too. I used to ride with KLIM gear, but it got stolen a couple years ago and I bought HMK because it was available where I was that day. I will never go back. And, Kirk at HMK is awesome to work with if you have any issues. I had a pair of HMK gloves lose some stiching and he is in the process of replacing them right now. You will not be dissapointed in their gear. I am thinking of buying their new Outlaw jacket because my son has taken over ownership of my Stealth coat this year.

I bought a new HMK pullover 2 springs ago, wore it all last year and loved it, I got a pair of ToBe pants at the same time, but wish I had gone with the HMK pants as well. Only prob is the length when are the manu's going to figure out that some of us are tall and skinny the XL's are long enough, but I have to wear a belt with the larges can't imagine the xl's. Not real happy about the problems I've had with the Pro boas i have or the lack of warranty repair on them but something I will deal with because there are a lot of positives with them also.

I've got the action pants and coat and I love them. Have not got wet yet and are nice and light. The pants have liners that you can put in if it's really cold but I haven't needed them.

If your klim pants are leaking they will replace them with a new pair. We've had three sets replaced in our group. My husband's had 5 seasons on his. I also sent his jacket in last year for a repair, he tore the shoulder in a crash and they sent him a brand new jacket because the one I sent in didn't pass the leak test.
