Default IQR Rebuild

For Build #2 of the summer I'm going to get the IQR that I used for my jig back in better than new condition.

This sled had some real issue's so I'll be fixing all them and making it look sick doing so.

The specs are
600 ves engine
going from a 136 to a 121x2
some custom tunnel work

Nothing major on this build, just a makeover.

For those that didn't see the start pictures in my other build

So today I was too lazy to work on the Nytro so I started on the IQR. Also I want to get it powder coated next weekend so I need to get moving on it.

Before pictures of the tunnel

It was crappy to say the least.

So I started with a piece of .060 cut to my overall dimensions

Layed out my new extension, this was a tedious project because all the bends you have to account for the radius on the break and I didn't have enough material to mess up.

The marker lines are just a idea of the layout, it's actually scribed out.

Cut it out using a jig saw after drilling all the angles to prevent cracking.

Bent up As explained in my other build, There is a piece of .100 in my break that is bent at a 90 to act as a radius die and give it a much stronger nicer bend.

This is the rough Idea of how the new extension will look. I will be tyeing in the running boards using some 3/4 0.035 since those stock things are ugly. I will also be cutting the extrusion back about 3" to clean up the look.

Once I get the extension wrapped up then I will be making some new front skid mounting plate's since the stock ones are beat up. Adding some snow elimination holes in the running boards. I also found today that the front torque arm is cracked, So I will be building a new one. A lot to get done in 6 days

Enjoy the build, this one wont be nearly as involved as the Nytro.

Just a update on this build, it is turning out to be a lot more work than expected. So it has got put on the back burner for the Nytro build. I'll more than likely jump back over to this one once I'm burnt out with the Nytro for a bit. So don't be surprised to not see any status updates for a while.
