Default Free On Line Introductory Avalanche Course
Came across this on the Canadian Avalanche Association website. I haven't taken an Avy course...YET, so I took the time to do this free on line course. I thought it was excellent! Took me about 3 hours total to do all the required reading and scenarios and answer all the questions. I know it doesn't replace an actual course in the field but for a Avy Newb like myself, I learned a lot.

Thanks BC. Not too many avalanches in SK but it is good to get prepared for the mountains someday. The trip pack lists are interesting though.
