Whose ready? Where ya going and how hard are ya fishing?

I'm gonna be on the dock up at Minnewawa, if we get fish we get them. IF not I don't care, just glad to be back out and especially excited to be fishing with the two oldest kids!!!

Do they have a part of the season you can't fish there or something? We can fish year round here, just renew first of April I believe...

Have to renew in April or March. Panfish year round, walleye, pike closed end of Feb until now. I assume to protect spawning. Bass is a split in the state. Some can fish sooner, my area isn't till around Memorial.....BUT there is nothing saying you can't throw spinners for pike in a known bass area(bed)

Rain and cold Sat on Minnewawa and Sandy. Got better in the afternoon.

No real bite for any of us. Brother and his bud pulled in 7 or 8 bass off the dock in a 40 minute stretch....me I was 10 yards to far away. They got 4 or 5 4-5lbers and they weren't full of spawn....weird but interesting.

Lost one 3-4lb pike at the dock since I was to proud to take a net. Then landed a 10lb or so dog fish Lets just say he is no more in the lake. Damn things are fun to catch until you see what they are.

Ran to Crosslake area to wet a line or two. Rained on Friday and Saturday so I fixed my dad's 4 wheeler and ridding mower (carbs were plugged up). Tought the boy how to take a carb apart and fix it up. Never did get out and fish, did hit some ATV trails for a few hrs.

I'm not that mad at the fish.
