I find mine to be a pain in the Azz. 04 GMC with a 6" lift and yes it makes it a pain to load and unload. You better make sure the truck is level cuz if the nose is pointed a little downhill it makes is hard to "break over" the back loading. I built a ladder so I can get up and down easier. Not to mention their always on the pickup, so if you want to go to the movies or something your chit is sittin' out in the weather.
Then there is having to unload them to do any work to em'. Or if you want to haul anything in your pickup what ya gunna do?
I'm looking around right now for a "deal" on another pickup, just to haul crap around. I'm only keeping the deck for a couple of years till I can make a couple of trips with the travel trailer.
One other thing, mines a 6' 6" bed 2500hd and even with airbags you have to "drive" the thing all the time.
I haven't found much more traction with it than I used to get with a pile of sandbags and a trailer.

That's just my opinion, everyone has one so take it for what it's worth to you, hopefully it helps you.

i have a marathon deck i got last year for cheap from a dealer that went out of business.

i love the thing, makes it easy to load and unload sleds by yourself and it's awesome for springtime riding with a 2 place open and the deck you can drive up the mountain aways, unload the deck and trailer, unhook and turn pickup around, turn trailer around and your golden.

when i'm not using mine i typically just take it off with the skid steer with pallet forks.

oh almost forgot goes on a stock height 06 GMC 2500HD

I have one and rep them for a great manufacturer. I love it 90% of the time. Having to unload after every trip is probably the only complaint I have with it. I sold my enclosed last year so I still have an open trailer and the deck. It's a toss up for me. I still use both.

Love mine, I have a 2" lift on a 05 Ram 3500 Long bed. The 1 ton is great for the top heavy thing, I rent sleds and carry some 700 + lb 2up sleds. When I have 2 heavy sleds I can feel the difference on the windy roads. I like the ease at the trailheads and the weight in the bed. 9.5 out of 10

I have a Silver Lake deck on my F350 (stock height, dually). Works great for me espcially not having to deal with a trailer to haul only two sleds. I also have the expandable sides, which is nice so you are less likely to run your head into the corners of it when walking around your truck and not paying attention.
