I have had two fuel caps change color this last year to like a yellow/orange/brown tint on the 07 Dragon and the 08 RMK.
Is this something related to the gasoline and ethanol being added? I am using Sta-bil to avoid the ethanol separation issues, could it be this product discoloring the dial? Just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue. Sta-bil was recommended by my dealer to prevent the ethanol issues.

Me thinks it's Varnish left over after evaporation. Just think what it does to your injectors, carbs etc. Sticky sticky
