I have several sets of goggles My two favorite are Oakley crowbar and smith piston. I picked them up off of ebay for half of retail but they were last years model. also really like the spy blizzard. the biggest thing is go shopping take your helmet and see what fits best as some just do not match up to some helmets. I really want to try something in polarized as i hear one you try that lens you wont ever go back.

I bought a apir of the scott 89xi turboflow ls they were 55 bucks and well worth the money
great airflow no fog problems in all conditions the LS lens auto tint works great and the nose piece allowed me to use a neck gater instead of a full balaclava on those cold days shadetree and dennis kirk both have I think shadetree was better priced

awesome ideas. I was looking at the turboflows but was not sure if they were legit. Now I at least have some feed back on them and think I will go forward with buying a pair soon.

i realize they are advertisers here and it sounds like a plug, but i liked my 509's..... i had a couple pairs of them and got them stolen when my house got broken into. I usually wore a pair of 509's and carried my oakleys as the second pair.
I had to order a new pair of 509's for this winter...... the sock cookers who robbed me were never caught.

I agree, 509 makes some awesome gear designed just for sledders. Little stuff built into them that makes them work, extrafoam to seal tight, pivoting hinges so they seal properly, and the lenses are great, especially the polarized ones.
I also have a pair of 89xi's to try out this year, but my Oakley crossbars will still be going with, tried and true but still fog up from time to time. |

i'd definitely go with any generation of the 509s. superior service by tom, real stand up guy.
the product itself is above all else out there. never fogs up on me. good peripherals. lots of options and choices for lenses and finishes, even polarized. multiple frame styles to choose from. overall a great product, keep the money local! |

I use the scott 89xi turboflow, haven't found any other goggles more suitable for cold weather riding. only thing I don't like about them is the anti fog coating on the inside of their lenses, if you try to clean the inside they are immediately scratched.
Tried a pair of 509's last season, I really liked them for the great peripheral vision. Nice to see they are a sponsor of the site, I will buy a couple sets for riding in warmer temps. |

i ride in the -20 -30 F and went back to a full face about 10 years ago for cold protection. last year picked up a new motocross helmet and 509's and they are graet and i don't use the full face helmet anymore. the 509's are very warm and i never had probs with fogging ever
