I don't know what to do.
It seems like everytime I climb a hill my skis never touch the ground. In fact there are times that the darn King Cat is standing on its tail. Do you think I should adjust something??? |

Well thats the fun part of the king. Of couse it's only fun for a while when it lifts and comes over backwards, you start to shy away from some of the climbs. I put SJ drop brackets on mine and it keeps the skis closer to the ground and it climbs a lot better and a lot more control. It really help when trying to go slow throught the trees. Before everytime I tried to ease through something, the skis would lift up and I would go straight ahead...does'nt work good when you only have a few inches to spare!

tighten the front limiter strap one more hole this will pull the front of the skid up and put more pressure on the front even on the climbs.

The darn thing handles like a dream and climbs anything I point it at, but the ski's just never touch the ground when I'm climbing. Sometimes when I'm busting through some deep stuff and climbing past an M8, the King Cat is standing on its tail. Do you think my simmons skis are the problem? Put a 600 in it, that will keep the front down!

To keep my king down I used Sled junky's rear scissor set up, I also bought the billet overload adjusters from Hi performance Engineers, they have about 30% more spring pressure.
I also used the longer spring holder on the bottom of the spring that bolts to the rail, cat makes one that is quite a bit taller than the one that come on the king. It only takes a minute to change the upper triangle adjuster for a soft ride up and down the trail and then just crank it up to hill climb.

I used to have the sno pro transfer blocks on my m and it kept the front end down very nice, it was an old hillclimb sled, might be something to try i think its part number 2604-545 you have to drill holes in your rail but it couples the rear skid

I appreciate the advice. really that whole thread was bait for a very dry joke. Thats what you get when you've got a bunch of guys waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the thing that they most look forward to... (snow)
Reality is that, while I'd like to have a new M8; I am so impressed with the power of the King Cat. Even being somewhat stock, the power that it generates leaves me awestruck. That is one of the best feelings, when you crest a hill in deep powder, and the thing is standing straight up and generating so much power that it feels almost weightless.
