I have been running better boards on my 08 RMK for the last 3000 miles with zero problems and I am NOT kind to my sled.
Here are reviews of the different boards available. http://backcountryrebels.com/showthread.php?t=6917 http://backcountryrebels.com/showthread.php?t=6914 http://backcountryrebels.com/showthread.php?t=4220

I gotta plug Better Boards because you won't find many people better than Rob in the industry.

I have better boards.
Have ran them for about 2300 miles. I have the uncoated and they are good but if I had it to do over again I would go with the coated ones. Also spent a few days on sleds that have WRP (wasatch research products) and they have great boards also. I think rebel has their wide board kit also on his dragon. |

Had Better Boards on my wife's sled (on when we bought it) and the guy had done a shoddy job on the install. He cut out a bit too much and there wasn't enough meat left to get all of the rivets in. I jumped it a few times and managed to finish them off
. I chose the WRP wide boards as a replacement for 2 reasons. They have side supports that rivet into the tunnel (since there wasn't enough flat riveting surface left), and they're wider so my wife has more room for foot placement. I also picked up an 08 D8 this year that had standard width WRP boards installed. I don't care for them as much as the BBs because the snow tends to build up and you have to kick it out constantly. The BBs didn't seem to have that problem near as badly (all sets are coated). Other than that, they are a great product. Rob (Better Boards) is about as good of a guy as you'll ever meet. His product is great and he stands behind it. If you damage the boards (because it's NEVER the fault of the boards), he'll replace them at half the price of new...can't beat that. The other nice thing is BBs are offered in different thicknesses to fit you riding style...I personally need the heaviest gauge because I tend to land wrong (and I'm a bit over my target weight )He also makes Better Bars for the Polaris IQ that add rigidity to the chassis (for stock width boards)...I'm in the market for a set of those now too. I stood on the BB demo sled at our snow show and the bars make a huge difference in feel! So long story short (hahaha), I think they're all good, but some are better (IMHO). Honestly, if I had the money, I'd love to try the Skinz setup...I doubt any snow would build up on them. Edit: Oh, and I've also got size 15 tree trunks like that guy ^^^^^. The extra width of the wide boards is nice.

i installed a set of snow eliminators back a couple months ago on my 04 rev 800
the stock boards are a joke so i needed something I like the strength of the eliminators and there pretty simple to install I do still have to knock the snow out just not as often and now it has somewhere to go the "grippers" that are up by your toes are pretty high and if you get snow in the foot well it can trap your foot I may trim the first gripper down a half inch did make my sled feel stronger in the foot area and a big improvement over stock I think i would try another brand on the next sled though jmo |

thanks for all the input I guess I'll do a little more checking and decide but I think better boards may be the way to go.

Check into the Skinz airframe boards before you make your decision. They are a bit more expensive than the others, but you are getting the new edge bar also all in one unit. There is more air than running board, so snow absolutely cannot build up. I dont see how any of the others could even come close simply because of their design. I am absolutely blown away what an improvement they are.
