Cleaning up Handle Bars?

I was in the dealer the other day and really like the looks of the clean handle bars on the new sleds. The new sleds have everything on the console except for the P.E.R.C button. What would it take to move all my buttons down (06 RMK 900)? I'm thinking just run the wires down and solder the new switches in?
