Filled out and sent.
I thought we had fought this and won (for once). Should have known the enviro-nazis never take no for an answer.

Dear friends,
As you know, BRC and other snowmobile groups have been working to keep Mount Jefferson open for a long time. The new Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest planning process resulted in a compromise solution that kept most of the popular snowmobile areas open. This compromise represents a hard-fought and, sadly, uncommon victory for the snowmobile community. The anti snowmobile groups have convinced Senator Jon Tester from Montana to throw that hard fought compromise down the toilet. According to Sen. Tester's staff, the intent of the bill is to mirror the Forest Plan and actually opens up snowmobiling areas. Yet, the closure of Mt. Jefferson is a substantial deviation from that plan. The bill would close what the snowmobile community fought so hard to keep open, and it adds insult to injury for anyone to suggest differently. This is extremely serious. Tester's bill is scheduled for hearings in the Senate Subcommittee on Public Lands and Forests December 17, 2009. |

Save Mt Jefferson as well as the other areas proposed for wilderness in this bill.
Here is a previous SAWS alert on this issue from July: http://www.snowmobile-alliance.org/A...eation_Act.htm No harm in sending in another comment based on the BRC alert even if you previously sent in a comment based on the SAWS alert, just make sure you send a comment and oppose all of the wilderness areas. So with the
is that to mean your angry at us for posting this?![]() Saw a post in our land use section and figured it would be better to atleast get it in a general area and get more coverage. I will admit that I don't know as much about Saws and the things we need to fight but atleast something is better than nothing... |

No, my mad was because of the proposed closures. Guess it did not come across correctly.
I have edited my post. Thanks for letting me know it came across wrong. |
