Welcome to Back Country Rebels. Does it have scratchers? For those days of hard snow, no matter if you only ride 1 mile of hard packed trails.

Does it have any non-factory venting??
Also, if you don't have the tools, have your local dealer check the gearing.
I usually gear my sled down one tooth on the top gear to increase torque. I am not sure what gear ratio's were good on that engine as it was a one year run before they went back to the small block design.
Also have em check the clutching and make sure you have at least factory or better on the weights.

Other than that.
You can get as crazy as you like.
Better board running board inserts is something I would recommend.
Engine compartment venting.

^^^^^^What these guys said, the gears this sled likes are 19/42 or 19/42. It's a tractor so I liked seeing around 75 to 7600 rpm shift out.

Also keep an eye on your motor mounts and torque stop, not as big of a problem on the 700 as the 900 but keep an eye on them.

Front Radiator delete will actually make it run cooler, and a Decent bumper is a good investment.

Like Ollie says venting is a key thing for belt life and cool running on the IQ's in general.

good clutch maintenance is a must, keep them clean, aligned, and make sure everything is free moving but not sloppy and you should be a happy camper.

I put vents in front of and behind the clutches to keep em cool but other than that both my IQ's are stock and I love em...

The sled will do everything you want it to!

hey guys went out for my first ride today... it was great!

My buddy is a tech at the local ski doo dealer. so im sure he can help me with gearing. seams like i get alot more snow build up on my tunnel too. i think the ski doo's have a better design to push the snow through.

man am i out of shape, not sure if its the sled or me, but my user name held true today, me and the sled were sideways or upside down more than once! lol

Loose hardware? cracked tabs?

That bumper is crap, they make aftermarket?

nope..skags are on bottom of your skis..scratchers dig up snow/ice chips and direct them to your hyfax in low snow conditions
