Need help on a ET 250 - Back Country Rebels

Working on a friend's 250, say about an 82 vintage. My ? is can the spark plug wire from the coil be replaced ...can I remove it from the coil and replace it like the spark plug cap???

The wire looks shot comming out of the coil. Thanks Dino

Try turning it counter clocwise, if it is a threaded post. If it looks glued around the edge I don't think it was meant to be removed. Does it have spark?

Well it must not be meant to be removed....Had spark but the wire where it leaves the coil was all but broke in two. Rough idle unless I supported the wire with a INSULATED pair of pliers

then it will idle just fine. Dino

New/used coil in order. Pretty common part I would think.

Yuppers $100 new ...$25 used. Sled is worth about 100 so let me think about it !!! Thanks Dino
