I wonder if they died? Hope not.....

REVPILOT can sometimes dip a wing a little too deep into a drift up near Mt. Jefferson in order to gauge snow conditions. Sometimes it's a little harder on things than a splintered A-arm, so I hope they made it back okay.

In either case, I hope I'm in his will.

Later,

Stovebolt

Can't have my ski-doo yet stovey, keep riden your Cat and wushin. Amazing day to fly, the old 182 climbed like a F-18 in -5 temps at 12k. Not much to report that's good, trails are being ridden and there were tracks into keg springs. Everything else needs snow and lots of it. The Montana side behind Lions Head looked a little deeper than Idaho, I took some pics but can't find the cord to connect my camera. Does anyone know when the season opens? I heard Dec. 15 for Jefferson area.

Glad you had a nice flight. As far as I know, season opens December 1st for Montana - don't know why the Montana side of Jefferson would be any different than the rest of the State of Montana. Season is open, snow conditions permitting.

Corrections welcomed.

Stovey
ps - did you forget to plug in the extension cord during preflight? How long is that extension cord anyhow? How do you keep from flying in a circle?

Default Montana opened December 2nd, sort of...

Travis,

Dale called me this morning as he was leaving J-Hole and we had a nice chat about things. I remembered to ask him about the Montana season, and he told me that with the new travel plan, the wording got a little afoul of common sense, and it is now "Midnight December 1st" which translated into effectively, December 2nd. According to Dale, there was no distinction that gave a different opening date for Jefferson, as far as he knew. He's a snow ranger for Gallatin, not Deerlodge, but that's what he was able to tell me.

You getting ready to pull the NOS trigger on that REV of yours?
