Lakes Basin Area - 12/26/2010

Oh yeah buddy! Hit it yesterday hoping to catch a break in the storm... No such luck, so we stayed on the road (couldn't see 10 feet in front of you it was snowing so hard). About a mile up the road from the staging area (I think it's about 6000' at the parking lot?) we had well over 6 feet - road signs were almost completely covered. So, I'm assuming we got much more higher up. Beautiful heavy powder, great traction. Hoping for nice sunny weather next weekend so we can really hit the mountains and bring back some pics!!!
