It was cherry, it was my moms 81' panther, I bought a jag dad bought a El tigre
and mom the panther, all 1981's. They were cheap because A/C went through
a re-organization and cleared inventory at about 1/2 price...

I rode mine for 2 yrs and sold it for 100.00 less than I bought it for, that's why I had to borrow the panther for the day...

Honestly, I think we used to have more fun back in the day when we were all on fairly equal sleds and couldn't top an ant hill...

I often think about this. Remembering the times when it would take half a day to break a trail over something we now blast over without a second thought. The days when a 500 centurion was a hot sled...and if you actually had it long tracked to 133 you had a pretty capable sled.

Now there are some people think you can't get off of a groomed trail on anything smaller than a 700 with a 151" x 2".

So true! I remember 10 years ago when we started going to Cooke City you could ride all day and never see anyone.. Peaceful back then.. Took all day to get back out of Daisy. The good old days are long gone. Later
