Although my DD inside bearing did not fail, by the looks of the old oil it was a good thing I put the new bearing in. Tip, a little peice of cardboard from the oil packaging will help you to remove the gasket whole.(see pic) Chose to do mine in the sled, although removing it would be easy enough and had I any chunks I would have.
Thank you to those who have done this and posted their experiences. That made this job a breeze and done in just under an hour. Much time saved with solutions to problems already.
