Default 02 RMK Mitsu turbo build

Heres a few pics. Still got a ways to go. Some of the stuff you see is prototype, will be remade once I get it all done and the bugs worked out.

Turbo is Mitsubishi 16G 9.8 Off an Evo8

Really like the way this can turned out. Fits just perfect with the belleypan on. Comes out stock location.

Oil tank, needed "clearanced" a few places. This will be remade later.

Injection oil tank. I am keeping the injection, but the stocker was in the way.

Greylor 24v pump. Produces about 25psi with 2 stroke oil @ 14v.

You can see the charge box, it wasn't done in these pics Its been a pita. Tough getting around the steering shaft.

Got the rest of the stuff done with it today, and fired it up. Need to put the bellypan back on and a couple little things then its time for snow hopefully saturday. Will post some more pics once I get the belleypan on and the intake tube on.

Couple more pics of it as it is today.
Still got to wire in the rectifier and battery, make the intake tube, and put in heavier weights. Will do that in the morning and then go see if I can find some snow.

Yea Theres powerjets down there.

Starting out at 6 grams, well see today if its enough. Shooting for about 9lbs of boost.

Really starting to think about putting my twins on there to take advantage of the twin scroll turbo. Guess I should get the bugs worked out the way it is first.

Its a button secondary.

No I have not welded the pipe yet. Its on my list but I have not gotten to it.

No EGT no O2. Intend on getting EGT, once again haven't gotten to it yet.

I ran it today. Got 4psi boost. Need to put on a controller to up it. Going to need to work on the clutching.

I seem to be getting pressure in my oil tank, not sure if its when I am on boost or just coming off boost(no bov) but its pushing the oil out the overflow tube. I am going to change the location of my overflow(its at the back of the tank) Hindsight. Bad design.

Is it normal to be getting pressure in the oil tank like that or do I have turbo issues?

Do you got any recommendations for clutching? Its spinning my 10-70's at 8000rpm with only 4psi boost. but its pretty laggy getting there.

Not yet. Not worried about that yet until I get it dialed in then I will water cool it. Its in the plans just not an important part at this point.

Gotcha, I've been thinking about building a kit for mine? I got a Evo3 sitting the garage chillin" in a box. Are you using the stock Polaris pipe or a SLP? I've got a set of Jaws twins that I'd like to try 2 into 1 going into the turbo flange
