Any tips to make changing the steering post out on my Gen II?

When I did it, I took the airbox out, took the carbs off, took all the motor mounts loose, pulled the belt and rocked the motor far enough forward that I could get to the bolts.
It's tight as all get out and there is no play, but it works and you don't have to pull the motor out so you don't have to deal with bleading the coolant and oil system.

thanks guys, I got as far as one carb pulled and the mounts off. Need a second person to rock it forward and hold it for me. It's gonna take some swearing, I can tell.
Not sure if it's a wildchild post, I got it second hand but it is chromly. |
