Looking at a M1000 with Dakota perf. porting. Thinking about a turbo next year. Would you turbo this set up or turbo a stocker????Whats the good and the bad of this idea? Thanks.

What I do to get the most out of a naturally aspirated sled isn't going to work well for a turbo'd sled and vs versa.

If it was mine, I would wait till you are ready to turbo it before porting it, turbo porting and n/a porting aren't the same. If you port it now to run well on the pipe, you may not be able to deck it far enough to make it work for the turbo set up, plus the extra BS to make the head work.

Or I would port it now and sell or trade your ported cyls. for stockers when the time comes to go turbo.

Jeff is very good at both porting and turbo's, I'd talk to him. He's the guy that would be getting the phone calls if it didn't run well.

Just my .02
