MMP! Mountain machines performance out of Thompson Falls, MT. I just ordered a set from them and they are a super easy company to deal with. They have thier "freedom axle" and a different "conversion kit", so their products work with almost any sled. I ordered a pair of 9" wheels and the conversion kit for my XP, and they gave it to me for under $300, so it was a pretty good deal!!

Hey Tiller, I am sure Jason can help you out.
Try him at Idaho Precision Machine – CE components.COM on 3622 N Fry Homestead Ln , Eagle, ID 83616-1571 — (208) 939-2735. Tell him Russ sent you. I think rear 9 inchers were about $120. The extensions were extra $$. The rails were powder coated this year - so we're going to try it out as is. ![]()

Have the MMP wheels on mine, great to deal with and had quick shipping.... hold up very well too! You can tell the detail in the machine process that there are no sharp edges on them, one of the reasons they ice up.

Can they powder coat the wheels? I do not have access to a place that does that locally.

I have a question about going with bigger wheels. Is there a calculation or a rule of thumb as to how much more track you need when you go bigger? Example, can you go with an 8" wheel, then use a AC 153" track on your 151" skid, with the bigger wheels?
I think people offset the rear axle and bigger wheels too, but I would prefer a longer track if it worked out. Any help? Thanks |
