Default New motor break in?

I know this has been asked a thousand times and there are a thousand different opinions, but I would like to hear yours. Sythetic oil or not? Break in hard with several full throttle pulls, with cooldown in between, or take it easy?

Thanks for offering this section. I am looking forward to learning all I can as I am new to A.C.

Thanks for the link. I actualy read that the other day. Thats what spured the queastion. I would also like to know opinion on 100 to 1 in the tank as some believe this is not necessarily a good thing on an injected motor. Oil displacing gas effectivly leaning the air fuel ratio.

Also if you read that artical closely it specificly states 4 stroke motors. When refrencing snowmobiles it only mentionsYamaha and RX1. Does it apply to 2 stroke?

Default Displacement

If your engine was running low to mid (525-575) BSFC's then you would need to worry about oil displacing oil. Not from factory.

Yup, break in time is over when you can't see the truck!

Ok, thanks for the replies. How about the synthetic oil thing. Cats oil is full synthetic, should you drain out and break in on something else? What about synthetic blends? Do they have the same poor break in qualities?

I never break an engine in with syn and I never mix the ratio richer than 40:1. That means never mixing the extra oil in the tank, I use suzuki cci oil for all my 2 stroke break in. A blend would work better than full syn but not as well as good old oil.
