Default Cheap Insurance

I am looking for a place that will give me some cheap insurance. The past two season I have been with State Farm but they dropped me after a bad year of tickets (4) and a claim that I had on my sled last April. I had to move my auto over to Geico who actually saved me money some money despite all the tickets but their sled insurance is over twice what I paid the last two seasons. Through State Farm I was paying 20/month for my 08 M1K. Just looking for other alternatives for insurance thanks.

I know I have slowed down now but only because I loose my liscence for 30 days if I get another ticket. I hate the speed limit but the cops seem to be real sticklers this year and they are handing them out like candy.

I will give farm a call and see what they want a year.

I don't understand how insurance can varie so much between companies. I remember when I first bought my sled and started shopping for insurance I was getting some quotes in the 1k range for a year and ended up paying like $250/ year. I guess some fokes are just greedy. Thanks for the replies.

I also was wondering if most of you guys drop your insurance after the season and start it again in the fall or just pay all year?

I would love to have one of my agents write you with Safeco but with a driving record like that Gary, you probably won't get a quote from a preferred carrier. More than likely only Progressive or Foremost or a similiar non-standard carrier will consider you. Give American Insurance & Loan in Lewiston a call and tell them I sent you.

Come on Andy its not that bad, is it? Geico uses Foremost for powersports so I already got a quote from them but its like $53/month which is over twice what I was paying. I haven't done anymore checking around yet but I will put American on my list. Insurance is such a pain in the azz your damed if you do and damed if you don't. Maybe I should just role the dice and run without insurance this season but you bet your azz I would rap it around a tree or ghost ride it off a cliff if I don't have insruance.

Or worse ghost ride off the hill and right into someones 40 thousand dollar pick up or worse yet hit some one else and be liable for all medical. whatever you have to pay it will be worth it in the long run

I've ridden with you Gary, it's not a matter of "if" your sled takes the ghost ride of death, it's a matter of "WHEN"!

I had the same insurance issue with my Apex. I seemed like I was paying by the pound! My rates were cut in half when I got the M7.

No confidence in me? I know your right though I haven't wrecked it yet but sh*t happens and I am not one for taking it easy. Soon as I get it all put back together I better start calling around for a reasonable rate.
