What is a typical suction-side temperature on a turbo compressor? I would think it is whatever your engine bay ambient temp is minus maybe 10 degrees or so.

So let's say you start out at 10 degrees higher intake temperature on the compressor, you would wind up with roughly that much higher discharge temperature for the same pressure differential.

Did anybody see the supercharged M8 at the Jackson Hillclimbs this spring? I think the company was Forced Induction Specialties or something like that.

Their supercharger was belt driven on the Mag side. Unbolt the stator and put the pulley between the stator and the case, right on the crank. They said their biggest problem was also getting the exhaust to hold up to the pressure. They had to have 4 lbs more back pressure than inlet pressure, so they had to really beef up the exhaust so it would hold up. Their setup seemed really simple to install and they said their testing has gone extremely well so far.

I'll see if I can find a website for them, they were a pretty cool company. They also had a supercharged duramax at the hillclimbs! Yes, a supercharged, turbo diesel

That pro charger one is interesting. They put a LOT of time and money into putting out some of the best kits in street kits for vehicles, I don't think they would put their name on something that isn't proven or meets their expectations.

The speedwerx kit is $5000. Turbo kits are about the same no? If there is no price difference I will take the turbo everytime.

since it is driven off the clutch and creates boost at idle would there still be some sort of lag? and what about using the supercharger with small shot of nitrous say 30 hp injection. would help cool in longer pulls
