I totally disagree. It was a cow pond leased by a rancher. The group does not have o rebuild the stock pond he does. Mud bogging has a time and place. That place is not public lands. No matter if it is a cow pond.

But since they destroyed it, they will probably be responsible for rebuilding it. I know if someone trashed a stock pond on one of my allotments I manage, they would be responsible for fixing it, or at least paying for it. Not the cattle owner...
Dogmeat- stock pond or not they destroyed property. Property that someone else relied on and needed, and the people that did it should be held responsible.

I know, like I said I'm not condoning what they did, but it's just awful hard for me to really feel that sorry for central wyoming ranchers given how much land they've totally and illegally shut off to public access.

That's an awfully general statement, but I just have a really bad taste in my mouth from ranchers in converse and natrona counties in particular.

They are just as bad here in CO. They keep their ranches cattle free so they can rake in the coin for hunting and in turn, use or lease USFS/BLM land for grazing the future Whoppers. If they lease it, then it is basically private and if you get caught hunting on public land that is leased, just as bad as trespassing. That's so wrong, IMO.

I don't condone trashing and property, public or private and they should pay.
