Default 2011 primary rebuild

trying to put a clutch kit in a 2011 ptek 800 got clutch off no problem
i have rebuilt my 04 before and cleaned it lots

why cant i get the gov cup out to put a new spring and weights in
sled only has 250 miles on it

is there something different im missing on the 2011

i think i need to get the sheave closest to the motor off outer half

always delt with splined before not tapered
give me the tricks

are you trying to split the two halfs ? if so.. i leave the puller threaded in to about where it would hit the crank when you take the clutch off the crank.. then i hold the part with the ring gear on and bounce it on the ceament floor hard so the puller head hits the floor.. it pops them apart, you have to smack it pretty hard..2 or 3 hits and it comes apart

Three bolts hold the cap on. Loosen the bolts (do not remove), tap the cover with a rubber hammer to loosen. May be a tight fit and slightly pressed on.

That's the spring cap, I think he's still working on the governor cover.
As said, thread in puller and drop puller head on cement floor OR a good whack or 2 or 3 with a BFHammer while holding the movable sheave....it's a compression fit just like to the crank.

So did you get it to separate? Don't forget to back puller out about half a inch.
