Like Ollie said, most have had good luck with just the towers and stirrups but in the right (or wrong i guess) conditions it's not enough IMO.

I've got SLP tower and stirrup vents along with the small rear side panel vents. I took them and replaced the weak prefilter material with heavy pet screen for more durability and airflow. Then I run 2 cool side vents as well. On the clutch side tower vent I left the prefilter in place. Both of the SLP shock tower vents are backed up with steel mesh like the Holz vents use.

I'm also running a turbo so I'm modifying a BR Tech Thrasher hood to make some big air ducts to get cold air to the Intercooler and the intake for the turbo. While I'm doing that I will be making a few more vents on the hood to get more cool air through the engine bay.
