Default 01 MXZ 700 HELPPPP!!!!!

Trying to do my buddy a favor by getting his sled ready for him before winter it's an 01 MXZ 700 started by putting new boysen reeds in it than cleaning the carbs and power valves. Got it all back together and now it starts right up normal and revs up fine but as soon you move it it bogs down bad and will barely move and the last time I checked the plugs were dry after doing that. So I'm guessing it's running out of fuel and the carbs have been cleaned 3 times now and the fuel filters not clogged and none of the fuel lines are kinked or anything. the last thing have to do is a compression test which hopefully gets done tomorrow. Any help would be awesome.

Does it bog down when on a stand too?

Are the clutches moving freely?

Yeah it bogs even when up on the stand. I took the fuel pump apart the other day and cleaned it out. There was a bunch of old bad gas in there but it still has the same problem. I'm thinking it might be the fuel pump not pumping enough fuel???? Also did the compression test both cylinders had 150.

Are you sure that you have the DPM plugged in and all the lines in the correct spot.

When you say "it starts and revs up just fine" is this just up to clutch engagement? and once the clutches engage it boggs?

sounds like more of a clutching problem than fuel delivery to me. Did the sled run fine last year or did it have problems? When is the last time it had ANY clutch work done to it?

Clean the clutches and replace the primary spring.

He just got it this year but it ran fine before when the clutch engaged. It revs up good til the clutch engages than it moves the sled fine if your on and off the throttle engaging and disengaging the clutch real quick but if you do it more than like twice it starts to bog after. Also while running around the yard with it bogging down when you pull the plugs out there completely dry. Which leads me to believe it's a fuel problem.

I'm gonna try putting a new fuel pump in it. I hear a lot about the clutches but the sled only has 1800 miles on it and like a said before the plugs were dry after it had been bogging down.

Could be the MPEM, had a friends 600 do the same thing last year and it was the MPEM. Went through everything else first to rule it all out.

Try unplugging the airbox sensor. My buddy has a 2000 700 and it had the same problem. Turns out the sensor was bad.
