DJ clutching is good chit. Don't waste your money on a pipe or y-pipe, skidoos pipe and y-pipe are good. maybe a head...RK Tek makes a good one. The best mod(or change) IMO was an 06 X-07 seat.

Clutcing is the place to start or if you are going to build the motor start there or you will be clutching everytime you change something.

Don't get a pipe not worth the money only a can to lose some weight.

Talk to Big John about his trail torquer kit. I put one in my '05 and damn, what a huge difference all the way around.
Of course he has other mods that go up from there but the kit comes with a variety of parts for tuning the clutch, spacing the reeds, new (different value) springs for the exhaust valves, Chrome moly rings (rings in the 800's are garbage)
different base gasket, different heat range spark plugs, etc etc...
The guy DEFINITELY knows Ski Doos

If you take a close look at your intake boots I'll bet they are starting to delaminate...They all did prior to '07.
I went with BOYSEN RAD VALVES and got a better reed and the intakes are billet aluminum.

Here's a link to just some of the goodies from his shop...

I would say DJ's clutch kit and Simmons Flexi skis. Those two things made my 800 into a whole new sled. Put them high on you list of mods!!

I had Simmons on mine for half a season and I didn't like them.
They would wash out in the corners in most snow conditions but they did work real well in the deeper stuff.
Problem was that I have to run miles of trails to get to the deeper stuff around here.

I went to Powder pros after those and LOVED the way they handled the trails and the deeper stuff but they were HARD maneuvering while boondocking and putting around. They bite so damn hard I got a real workout in the trees.
I found out after I bought them (from other Rev owners) that they suck on Revs...They were right!

I ordered a set of Mods from Ski-doojunky and I hear they are the best ski for a Rev.
