Default 2015 Summit SP

I'm ready to buy a ski doo switching over from a 11 m8. I can get a deal on a 15 summit sp. I am ignorant to ski doos and would like any pointers on common upgrades that are done. Are the differences between the sp and x packages significant? What are they? Thanks

I would just go to Dootalk forum if you want a lot of info. Basically the X-shocks are 5 lbs lighter and rebuildable. Plus a lot more adjustment levels. The x shocks are threaded with a lot of room while standard SP shocks have 5 adjustment levels. That's it.

I think the only difference is the shocks. for the deals that are going on now you would be stupid to buy any thing but a hold over sp.

there are a ton of differences.
the running boards are different
the track and t3 is not on the 15 sp
the spindles are different on the sp
my son was going to go with the sp but after seeing all the differences and the cost to upgrade an sp he went with the t3 in a 154 with the etech
best decision he has made.
your dealer should be able to walk you through all the differences

Um, pretty sure the running board are exactly the same. Just think logically, why would they make specialized rails for the X? On the Freeride they are bigger though...

I wasn't aware that the only way to get an x model was to get a t3. and you are comparing two different animals and yes the running boards are the same and the spindles are an 1" longer to match the extra height of the 3" track
