Not sure on the roads in the swamp Wiz. MNDot has 65 closed south of McGregor.

Parents had water in the basement today, first time in 30 years. Had to have friends come help suck water out and get them a sump pump....living on the hill never had the need for one. Dad figures the water came in via the wood room.(attached tot he basement but no concrete floor just dirt.)

15-16" since Sunday at the lake. 12" just yesterday. The ground is beyond saturated right now.

The first section of this dock floated free. 2x6 green treat heavy dock.

This is all under as well

Gonna be lots of stuff floating up on shore for some time.

I imagine Big Sandy is even worse off as they were all ready super high.

Hope the down trees missed any buildings.
X, so how is the recovery going? are you able to walk on your own?

My dock in the first post here is 100 ft long, and right now the depth at the end would be shoulder deep. There are three sections of roll-in.

Most lakes in Crow Wing county have a shallow shelf out quite a way from shore, then drop rapidly to 40-100 ft.
But they are great kid lakes, due to the gradual depth.

Those were old pics Wiz. Hoping for some current shots tonight from my mom.

Recovery is going good, still on crutches. Really killing me to not be able to head north and help them out.

Here ya go Wiz. Parents got lucky, there was only about an inch in the basement before they caught it. Though the sump they borrowed was running nonstop all day.

Pontoon deck is normally level with the dock top, and the plank going out normally has a foot between it and the water.

This is supposed to be road

Going to make for an interesting fourth of July and the people heading north.

Camper: Where is my camp site
Owner: it over there.
Camper: All I see is lake.
Owner Yep it's under there somewhere.

Some of the campsites have to be under what. Hope you all get a break from the rain. We are going to have record highs this weekends.

Gonna be close to record levels on Big Sandy. Talking that it will crest out next week.

The entire whole of Aitkin country is a no wake zone until at least the 26th. Minus Mille Lacs

Will be an interesting 4th for sure but I'm leaving next Friday for a whole week come hell or well I guess to high water.

If the water is still high I will make the wife drive me around to take pictures.
