Default Track pitch choice

Getting ready to order my new track and wondering about track pitch for deep powder. Is the 3 inch pitch significantly better.

141 by 2.5 by 3 pitch challenger I see tlkd likes this track

Or

146 by 2.5 by 2.86 pitch challenger. I see les has run this track

Any other opinions. Maybe there is a 146 3 inch pitch track i am missing.

Thanks scram600.

Have any experience of know any one who runs a camso peak track. seems like people either love it or hate it. Been considering one but have had good luck with the challenger on my sled.

Any experience with longer swing arms.

I dont think track pitch has as much effect as lug height and paddle design. The challenger 2.5 has got to be my favorite all around track.

Just buy what ever track you can find for the best deal I say.

Took a 16x151 2.5 Peak 2.86 cut and curved . Made a template , skill saw , sawzall withe a reversed blade sharpened and hand bench grinder .
The first one rolled up was a single player that I blew , thought the durometer might be better as long as I don't tag anything like the first .

Yes , been very happy with it , for a machine it's age and weight it's a noticeable upgrade . The design of the uncut curved lugs not only flex but they also hold onto the snow like a spoon since the lugs are curved , they actually scoop instead of the normal fling that a large lug traditional mountain track does . I personally like the curve and the bite of the stiff shorter cut outer lugs because it always me to steer with my feet .
I would not run anything over a 146 on a 600 , especially this kind of track lug . Even with the width cut down this track would be to much of a load to turn over .
I also have the stock set up 136 for back up and have swapped out depending on conditions and time of year . There is such a difference that one could say it's not even the same machine .
