Default 2004 REV 800 runs like crap, what I found.

Sooooo, my 18yr old takes my old ride out, 04 REV 800 clutched, geared and built up for fast ditch and cratered out trails. Brings the sled back and says "it runs like crap, we had to tow it with the '85 Panther". Not good, any other sled but that I thought. The sled has 8000 + miles by the way.

Anyway, after some digging around, I found that the slide is not going up on the PTO carb. WTF could cause this. So, I pulled the top of the carb off (2 screws) and found that the "E" clip that holds the linkage together had fallen off. When it did, the linkage also fell off. Fixed it in no time at all, son was VERY HAPPY. Showed him what was going on and had him put it back together.

Last I heard, he had to tow the Panther and a '13 XF800 back. Much better....
