Default Best of both worlds?

Ive been thinking of selling my 1990 DR 350 & upgrading to a newer dual sport bike, but I ran across a few older VMax streetbikes recently, & Ive always wanted one. Thinking of just keeping my DR & adding to the stable. Anybody had an older VMax? Any issues with them to be aware of?

Watch out for Deer. I hit one in 2012 (week before Thanksgiving). Have a set of Case protectors if you get one. The older ones (pre 2000 I believe), need the fork springs updated. The bike likes to get the high speed wobblies. Not good at 130 MPH...Turns you into a human windsock.
