Default Kitty Cat build

For those of you out there with a kitty cat that has a worn out engine. Here is what I did. Bought a 3 hp engine from harbor freight for $88. Little trimming here and there. Make throttle bracket. Make a longer chain. I tapped out the exhaust port on engine and just used gas piping and a Briggs 3 hp exhaust muffler. I made a brake for it but it really isn't needed. It was a bit of work but sure runs better than the old engine ever did.

Now you need the deep snow suspension re-location kit. Drops skid 2 or 3 inches for more clearance. We did one to our '99 back in the day. Also dropped the ski's the same distance. Some guy had pics of a long track unit that looked like it's big brother. Can get spendy.

I did this build for my neice and wanted to get the sled fixed for as little as possible but still be reliable so my brother won't be asking me to fix it all of the time. I had bypassed the govenor on the original motor when I was younger and it needed a full rebuild. Thought this was a better option. This is about all the money going into this one. We hardly ever get enough snow around here for the deep snow kit so I won't waste my money. Once she grows out of it I got the hawk jr she can use. Just need to make a wheel kit for that for all year use. Hopefully the kitty will still work when I have a kid. She loves it so much and I can't believe how well it works!
