There is some great information on this thread. I kinda have an idea for where to park to get into cabin creek without riding the trails from west yellowstone but can anybody help me out some more? We will have a truck and four place trailer... Should we park off 191 or 287? I'm sure we could park by Eino's but I know there was a forest road around there that had some parking on it...
Take 191 to 287, go over grayling creek on 287, 3/4 of a mile there is a truck pullout. Park there and come back east in the ditch to Witts lake trail head. You will follow that up and that will drop out on the Big Sky Trail a mile before Fiberglass hill, or four miles from the cabin in Cabin Creek............

Thanks Golden, I know where that is.

How about straight north from there? I think there is a lake back there, any good riding?

That would be Johnsons lake and yes there is good riding in that area. If there is alot of snow it can be pretty hard to access that area........

i usually train 3-4 months to get ready for our annual trips... including cardio, lifting, dieting. this year i started sept 12th, and in 14 weeks i have lost almost 20 pounds. my breathing, and cardio input/output is probably close to the best i have ever been. at 44 i dont have too many great health years to back country ride, and do what i like to do best. RIDE HARD!

2 more work days, and 5 more sleeps and we will be heading out.

ski
