Default Any Diesel Racers out there?

I run a Duramax at Bandimere Raceway in the summer, it's addicting as hell.

Not diesel, but an IHRA/NHRA licensed racer nonetheless

I'm still trying to work out some suspension issues since I put the new motor in. Best time so far was a 9.71 @ 143 on a 200 shot. With the new motor, I've gone 9.95 @ 143 with only a 100 shot! The new motor makes a ton more power and seems to like to blow the tires off. I'm looking for big improvements this year and hopefully a bottom 9 @ 150-155!

The diesel pulls me there

I have to ask, what's with the tailpipe angle? I've never seen that before.

Well last year at truckfest they had so many issues with smoking the tree and screwing with the timing, so this year they advertised all year long that diesels had to have exhaust up and clear of the timing equipment and staff...BUT then they decided not to enforce they're rule so only a few of us looked like idiots....Mine was about 10bucks worth of dryer duct and crap i had in the garage...shoulda seen the looks we got on the way home

Interesting. Makes sense though. I haven't seen many diesels race, and most either had stacks or regular tail pipes.

You guys have some nice rides!

Flamedcummins, what are the specs on that truck? I don't know why, but I like the cummins trucks. I had a 01 dmax for awhile, then sold it for whatever reason.

Blk88GT, nice stang man! The fastest car I've been in ran a 10.7 and I thought that was crazy. I couldn't imagine being in a 9 sec car. If only my S10 could break into the 9's or 10's.....maybe with a hair dryer it could.

Mines a 02 2500, air dog 150gph fuel system, edge drag comp, 5"MBRP exhaust, afe stage 2 intake, banks high ram, all the gauges and a hx40 pushing the air, fuel is limiting me right now need atleast some 150horse injectors to spool the turbo right, limited to about 32 psi right now with what the edge fuels, keep splitting intercooler boots as well so thats not happening

And yea dude 9secs is fast i got a camaro with a new motor in the works, ideally i'm shooting for low 9's and decent street manners with a pair of twins
