Default Another late night thunder storm.

Many pic links.
Oh…….. and I have to ‘man’ our booth at 5m-9m today.

3:20 A.M. WHOOOSH, crash, bang boom, a “sow-wester” storm , 3rd this year, and getting damn old.
Dock palates popped out of position, branches down all over the yard, worse, Ethan and I picked up the whole yard yesterday with 2-trailer loads of crap from the last storm.
Power out at first whoosh . 80MPH gusts.
Flag pole wrecked AGAIN.
County Fair in progress this week is a ‘war-zone’. Oofda. Our Snowmobile club was there this morning helping clean up. Tractors, trailers, chain saws ,bucket trucks, and a lot of volunteer public helping.
Dozens of vendor pop-up cabanas rolled up in a ball of tubing and vinyl tarp.
Many ‘patients’ from MW Teen Challenge rehab campus were there and a huge help. Pitched right in raking and hauling branches. Great 20-somethings to work with.
Charlie next door to me has two HUUUUUGE oaks tipped out of the ground.
Paul Bunyan Land icon Blue OX taking a snooze on their driveway.
“Babe”’ weighs 4,000 lb.

Our club booth, before the storm, fortunately they took the roof off the cabana , and heeded warnings. The vintage sleds got wet “boo-hoo” but owners were unhappy to detail them again. No damage fortunately.

Another booth pic, better weather early evening.

I packed up about 75 folding chairs in this church booth.

Cool

UPDATE
The fair opened at 1:00pm, and before I had my shift at our club booth at 5:00 , I walked around, and you could hardly tell anything happened.
Thanks to a couple hundred volunteers.

How far north did the storm go? My folks said they had some rain and a nice light show.

Not totally sure the actual path.
Friend of mine is the sheriff's dept. emergency mg'r, he lives between Pequot and Breezy, said he got 3" rain, not as much wind.

I had 0.4" rain and the 80 mph wind.
