Here is the first official look at The Carve Ski!

Can you explain the design of this ski ? The backside/heel is interesting and appears to do more than just back up ?

I would love to! The width and keel depth are designed to give optimal float while effectively funneling snow to prevent freeze-up. We used 3 keels with shorter 3" runners made of real carbide and angled the outer keels 15 degrees to mimic the feel and handling of a dirt bike front end while on the the trail and hard pack.

The design behind the center keel to the back of the ski is a bit different also ?
