Too bad the decision wasn't Grand Mesa, I would have had you come down to the best snow in the state...

This was my ride a couple of days ago.

Daughter and I were in your backyard this past March. Drove through Grand Junction on way to Moab. We were looking at the range you ride in too.

Taking my son for a trip between Christmas and New Years. Where is there some good snow for one total mountain newb and an old guy to play? Friends are headed to Grand Lake in Feb. I'll have to mis that one. Looking to ride 2 or 3 days.

Thanks

if you're in the snowies, we might run into each other... :uhoh

Hard to say what the weather will bring between now and then, but right now it's pretty bare.

Where in the Snowies?

Looking to get him some experience with deep snow turns, side hills etc. The hill climbs and chutes can wait.

As for bare, I may need to cut my grass again.

Don't know that you're gonna get any pow turns in just yet, but there is opportunity for some sidehills.

I've heard SoCo's been good, i'll be out there weekend before Christmas.

The Mesa is always deep... Definitely worth a trip. Is Keiper on here? Try Thunder Mtn Lodge as well, they get good snow.

Was out yesterday and it was waist-chest deep here local.

Check CAIC's website. Looks like areas north of the ears got 2-3 feet out of this last storm. Steamboat Lake might be a good option (Cool riding area too, can ride all the way north into Wyo from there).

WC last weekend...
